The primary focus of a Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Internet Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision. Develop and deliver proposed solution to customers. Approximate percentage of face to face interaction with customers to perform responsibilities is 10%
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Sr. Cloud Platform Specialist you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Cloud Platform Specialists. Focuses on large or complex middleware sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Cloud Platform Specialists. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Should possess knowledge of competitors and demonstrated management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
The Pre-sales consultant is tasked to support the SMB accounts team in a diverse number of ways. Ranging from answering to RFPs, solution demos, Solution architecture, presentations etc.
On a day to day bases you will work closely with your sales team on a wide range of tasks, the major parts of which are:
Responding to Customer Requests for Proposals; Providing commercially savvy answers to solution/product questions posed by customers to aid their selection of new products/solutions on both on-premise, cloud and architectures
Answering technical (pre-sales oriented) questions about Oracle s products and solutions
To fulfill the role of pre-sales middleware consultant we are looking for individuals that match the following profile:
Good understanding of the IT market & trends
Technical/IT education, university degree
Works in an IT related role today (presales consultant, system or DB administrator, technical support, consulting, development, architect)
An understanding of architecture, knowledge of Java and XML
Good understanding of one or more of the following middleware areas (on-premise & cloud):
o Service Oriented Architecture, Orchestration, Service Buses
o Business Process Management, Business Process Architecture
o Integration technologies
- Experience with one or more of the following Oracle products is a plus:
o Oracle Weblogic Server
o Oracle SOA Suite
o Oracle BPM Suite
o Oracle JDeveloper
o Some Oracle PaaS Services including but not limited to JCS, ACS, MCS, ICS, SOACS, IoTCS etc.
Experience using or managing one Windows Linux or Unix operating systems or using Amazon Web Services or Azure or similar services in the course of your job. Linux experience is a strong plus.
