Position Information

The Physician Coding Specialist identifies and codes inpatient/outpatient professional fees for physicians. This billing/coding encompasses all payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, insurance, managed care, and direct patient pay) and/or all specialties (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Neonatology, OB-GYN, Surgery, Orthopaedics, and Otolaryngology etc.) within a physician practice. This position interacts with all levels of the organization to ensure cost-effective, accurate and timely coding of professional services. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values and management of partners and Practice Physicians/Claims and Billing.

Experience Requirements :

2 Years Coding - Physician Preferred

Education Required :

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements :

Certified Coding Specialist Or Certified Professional Coder Required

Hours of Work :

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Weekend Requirements :

No Weekends

Call Requirements :
