Lenovo North America Workstation Strategy Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

AS a Workstation Strategy Manager for Lenovo, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Overall North America Workstation Strategy

  • Identifying secular trends in the Workstation marketplace

  • Advising senior leadership of trends and make strategic recommendations

  • Develop business plans, ROI and investment/staffing needs for expansion into new adjacencies

  • Competitive Analysis

  • Frequent analysis of competito products, solutions, partnerships, announcements, strengths, weaknesses, comparison to Lenovo offerings, company news, etc.

  • Industry Verticals

  • Understanding and prioritizing the key Workstation market verticals. Understand TAM, Lenovo Pen Rate, leader(s), key needs and pain points of customers, influencers, trends, ISVs, integrators, partners.

  • Working with Business Units and North America Marketing to create appropriate messaging and collateral for Direct and Channel sellers for these verticals.

  • Propose and create focused solutions/offerings that are tuned to these verticals

  • Drive key requirements for current and future product/solution offerings into the World Wide Business Unit

  • Create relationships with key industry solution providers beyond ISVs

  • ISVs

  • Map all key ISVs to the vertical segments we prioritize above

  • Drive business and selling relationships with these ISVs

  • Ensure Lenovo presence in ISV collateral, web sites, recommended vendor/config lists, etc.

  • Ensure participation by Lenovo (esp. North America Sales) in key ISV events - both National and Regional.

  • Influence ISVs to deploy Lenovo Workstations broadly on which they will develop their applicaitons

  • Leverage funding from sources to collaborate with ISVs on Go To Market.

  • Minimum 7 years business development, or sales / marketing experience in the IT industry (software and hardware)

  • Proficient in being able to sell the value of Workstation & associated solutions; Understand Workstation & associated solutions technology and its practical application/ contribution to customers’ requirements

  • Business analytical skills Project management skills, overseeing critical paths for to final delivery

  • Executive summary communication skills

  • Collaborative ability working across a diverse work team in a matrixed environment

  • Ability to analyze market fundamentals and apply conclusions to a go to market plan
