Role Summary:

As a Lead Engineer- you will perform electromagnetics design and analysis of generator / motor for aerospace applications, using analytic and finite element tools.

In this role, you will support the development of new products.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities Include :

  • Support the electromagnetic design and analysis of electric machines (motors and generators)

  • Use FEA and other simulation tools to model and predict fundamental electric machine electromagnetic behavior

  • Contribute to production support activities, e.g., cost reduction and engineering productivity, etc.

  • Support test and manufacture activities Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electric machine EM design and analysis (Including FEA analysis experience) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment Desired Characteristics:

  • Aerospace experience in design and development of electric machines

  • Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering with electric machine electromagnetic design experience from an accredited college or university

  • Experience Ansys EM analysis tools
