The Role: Sensus, a Xylem company, seeks to hire a Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for leading product development projects as part of the Solutions Team. The Technical Project Manager will lead a cross-functional team in our Morrisville, NC engineering center.
The Technical Project Manager is an experienced professional responsible for effective management of all technical aspects of assigned projects and project teams to successfully complete the project on-time and within specifications. The Technical Project Manager must be knowledgeable in all aspects of product design and development and have a strong command of process components spanning software, test, customer support and documentation. The Technical Project Manager will prepare project plans, including schedules, and will maintain effective relationships with the development, product marketing, and solution test organization.
Demonstrated experience leading projects through the full product development life cycle using Stage Gate methods, from concept and customer requirements through commercial launch of the product.
Demonstrated experience in delivering solutions based on products developed using Agile methodology.
Demonstrated experience matrix management and coordination of large multi-functional team consisting of marketing, engineering, test, documentation, customer support and training team members.
Proficient in all aspects of project management, including development of schedules, and communication of status and tasks.
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize personal and team activities.
Must be able to drive the team and work through challenges to ensure tasks are clearly assigned and completed per agreed schedules.
5+ years of project/program management experience
Project management experience driving software product development and end to end solutions.
