Receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom and / or warehouse. Keeps records and compiles stock reports as required. Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Reads work orders or receives and listens to oral instructions to determine work assignment. 2. Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using appropriate powered industrial truck for material being moved. 3. Loads and unloads materials to and from designated storage areas, such as racks and shelves, or vehicles, such as trucks. 4. Transports receptacles to and from designated areas, by hand or using dollies, hand trucks, and hand jacks as needed. 5. Records number of units handled and moved, using daily production sheet or move sheet. 6. Record transactions using hand held scanners and / or Oracle forms. 7. Bundles and bands material, such as boxes, sinks, and raw steel material, using banding machines. 8. Stacks or piles materials such as boards or pallets. 9. Cleans work area using brooms, rags, and cleaning compounds. 10. Sorts and stores items according to specifications. 11. Receives, counts, and stores stock items and records data, manually or using computer. 12. Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects, reports damage to supervisor. 13. Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification tag, stamp, electric marking tool, or other labeling equipment. 14. Determines method of storage, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capacity of facility. 15. Delivers products, supplies, and equipment to designated area using appropriate powered industrial truck, hand truck, or hand jack. 16. Locates and selects material, supplies, tools, equipment, or other articles from stock or issues stock item to production leadership. 17. Records nature, quantity, value, or location of material, supplies, or equipment received shipped, used, or issued to workers. 18. Gather supplies, equipment, or other items according to specifications or customer requirements. 19. Verifies computations against physical count of stock, adjusts for errors, or investigates discrepancies. 20. Prepares documents, such as inventory balances and shortages using computer and/or calculator. 21. Assists other stockroom or warehouse employees as needed. 22. Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and instruments, and storage areas to ensure compliance to safety regulations. 23. Perform powered industrial truck, and dock safety inspections as required.
• Successful completion of powered industrial truck certification (to include skills test). • Must be able to analyze data and make decisions as needed. • Must be able to effectively interact with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
