The Application Maintenance & Support (AMS) Transition Services (TS) team is a team dedicated to tracking the progress of production projects, from inception to delivery. Transition Services acts as a single point of contact to serve as a communications hub and monitoring group for any new or changing applications, projects, platforms, etc. that will impact our application portfolio.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead or conduct activities associated with transition of projects into the production environment, specifically where it will impact the teams providing support and maintenanceincluding:
Track deliverables to and from Production Services for projects that will impact the AMS application portfolio
Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the Transition Services process across the organization and make recommendations for improvement
Ensure all IT teams follow the Transition Service processes and escalate any repeated non-conformity.
Produce the appropriate management reporting on the status of projects from a Production Services perspective.
Maintain a team site and manage key information such as Transition Service procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Manage relationships with partners throughout the project life cycle.
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Guides the work of more junior staff (no direct HR responsibilities)
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Degree in Comp Sci, Info Sys, or relevant work experience
3+ years of broad IT experience
3+ years of project management skills Preferred:
Relationship management experience with IT partners
Hands-on proficiency and understanding of ITIL process and SDLC
Ability to build and manage relationships effectively
Experience working with offshore teams
ITIL, PMP, Agile, Lean IT certification desired
Insurance industry background
